To all Halifax dum-dums: The self check-out is not for people who have a full cart of groceries. It is not for people who take five minutes to scan a single carton of milk. Yes, I know the other lines are long, but there’s a reason self check out exists: It’s for people who have a couple things and can get themselves through the check-out process quickly. There should not be a line up of ten customers at self check out waiting for one creamy idiot to scan a can of soup.

No, there are no restrictions on the self-checkouts. Do you want them to be available solely for you? Of course you do; but they are not.
Self serve check outs were never intended for customer convenience .They are intended to replace staff and eliminate jobs. Want to save some jobs? Line up at the cashier and force companies to provide jobs for more people. Their was a time when gas stations pumped your gas. When we dutifully lined up to pump our own gas those jobs disappeared.Do you think this saved us money on gas?
Give people time & space learn. Asshole.
*Selfish, inconsiderate asshole.
The self check-out is for people.(period)
I will continue to take my cart load of groceries through the self-checkout, because I refuse constantly answer idle, small talk questions and comments from others standing in line or from the cashier.
Oh, men are indeed funny! It’s those of you who don’t find us funny who are the “funny” ones…
I can never understand the logic of tearing one group of people down in order to improve the lives of their detractors.
“Misery loves company (and dies lonely).”
Just everyone refuse to use them. You’re putting folks out of work.
it’s for whoever wants to use it
