Recently I’ve discovered that it costs $8.28 to send a 5-oz. package by regular mail from Halifax to Bridgewater. Bridgewater is an hour’s drive away.
I’ve also discovered that it costs just $1.31 more than the above price, to send a package weighing more than a pound all the way from Toronto to Bridgewater – 742 miles as the crow flies.
That makes NO SENSE.
Why?
Is it all the twists and turns on the 104???
Acadian Lines would take a package to Bridgewater that is 12 times the size of the 5-oz. package, for just $1.50 more. And it would arrive within two hours, not three or four days.
