This weekend, I drove past 3 bus shelters that had been busted up…
How low does your IQ have to be, that you enjoy breaking bus shelters (or anything else)? Seriously, are you idiots jealous that an inanimate object, like the bus shelter, clearly has a higher IQ than you do, or what? —BUSted up over vandalism

Halifax – I have seen the same shelter kicked out 3 times in two weeks.
Toronto – I have seen one bus shelter smashed out in 2 years.
However, I guess in Toronto the thugs are real and instead of petty crimes like vandalism they aactually do real crime like killing people and what not…
I KNOW! The hoodlums must think the bus shelters are encroaching on their territory. They need to show them who the boss is. Gotta teach those bus shelters a lesson, or they’ll get out of hand, you know climbin’ in your windows snatchin’ your people up, trying to rape ’em … and uh … stuff.

Just do away with the bus shelters all together. If people want to take the bus, they will dress properly for the weather. Far too often I see smokers puffing away in the shelters when they should be outside.

and as far as the vandalism goes…these idiots probably ride the bus as well and will be the first to complain when the fares get hiked in order to pay for some new shelters at some point…fucking morons…cant think more than two feet in front of their fucking face…

I do dress for the weather, but after fifteen minutes of walking against the never ceasing wind in the winter, or battling with an umbrella,to get to the shelter,I’m relieved to finally get inside to wait for my bus, for whenever it feels like arriving. Gotta arrive there early enough so that I don’t miss the bus, why wouldn’t I want to be in a shelter no matter how I’m dressed? Sometimes, it ‘s a long wait, buses do get off schedule.
This past weekend, vandals went up Portland Street and smashed 3 shelters in a row. Real classy guys, real classy. Just wait until your tax bill comes in.
They need to start making those out of plexiglass.

MT must keep a record of the most smashed ones? If so, they could set up either CCTV or a Webcam and catch the little meth heads and sue the parents or the spawn to recover the costs. They could post the pics on the MT site and ask the publics help in catching the mutants.
Naturally, this will never be allowed as the invasion of privacy arsebandits will intervene.

they can’t they tried that with the end of the 83 route years ago, instead of smashing them Tweedledee and Tweedledum will just burn them instead, they take a while to light, but when they melt, it stinks to high holy hell, and when the bus stops out here at 10, you’ve got all kinds of time to do it. and it probably costs 3 times as much to replace.
I think that one gets changed every to 8 months because of these unsupervised loser kids with nothing better to do. and the one at the top of the park is still one of the old concrete ones. just because they know, if they replace that one with glass, both of them will be shattered in 8 month intervals.
these kids need something to fucking do.
