If you ask a cashier for change and she does not have it, verbally berating her for five minutes is not going to change that fact. She may have called a manager to get change for you as people have been paying with twenties all night and cleaned her out, but when you start yelling at her for something she can’t control, you do not make her want to help you . It is also a very bad idea to be rude to her before you receive your ordered food…

  1. It’s a very bad idea to fuck with someone’s food just because their snarking at you made you butthurt.

  2. No one should have to take abuse from some fucking argumentative retard who rattles on about such shit for an entire 5 minutes. You should have called for your manager as soon as the rant began.

  3. Swamp donkey I would be very happy to load you up with an extra deep honk of lung butter & saliva. People like that deserve nothing but my best 😉

  4. Think of it this way… we have been yelled at by some douche/bitch for whatever reason at our customer service jobs. I used to be a manager at a large electronics retailer, and I used to be on the end of a lot of horrible stuff, like MP3 players being thrown at me. Managers don’t deserve that sort of treatment either. There’s no excuse for bad behavior, but if you’re in the public service field, expect it because there is always gonna be one person that is gonna be a complete jerk, regardless of how good your service is.

  5. Fact.

Working in retail, i.e., with people, the public, sucks. The massive suckitude is its own reward. Not to mention the possibility of shitty bosses, co-workers, unsafe work conditions to go along with the low pay and rinky-dink hours.

The only thing you can take out of it is the age old cliche. Try not to take it personal. It’s hard. If you’re doing your job, doing it right, then let and let live. There will always be assholes in life. Just try to maintain some perspective. Treat people, in whatever the situation, how you’d want to be treated.

  6. More, you don’t mess with people’s food. It’s a petty dick move, and a shameful work ethic.

  7. SwampDonkey, you gotta learn to be nicer to those who serve you. Especially with all the colds & flu stuff going around. There’s lot’s of interesting phlem of various colors & consistancy waiting to flavor your next entree. When someone has already been ‘shamed’ in public by a disrespectful attitude,& they rightly fear for their job’s from the overinflated egomaniacal pricks that so often own/run these types of establishments… I say ” let the juices flow baby!”
ITs the least people like that deserve, actually throwing them out is what they actualy deserve.Unfortunatly our hands are tied.

  8. More, where the hell did I say that I wasn’t nice? I’ve worked cashier and CS jobs for more than a decade and dealt with my share of jerks.

Stooping to some childish asshole’s level is not the answer.
