I lived on the other side of Main in Fairview for awhile. Our building smelled of crack when I made my way downstairs to go to work in the morning and it seemed the police were always at the building across the street. I feel bad for the people who own the nice looking houses in the area.

Bought a house in another well known “hood“ and low and behold I don`t have any problems there either. Take a peek at New York or Chicago or Detroit, then you`ll see what a real “hood“ looks like

i just have to add that although this latest shooting was indeed in fairview, doesn’t reflect on the majority of people living here. most likely it was because she fucked someone out of some crack, or other shit. or was doing independing male socializing, for a fee.

I would hardly call it the ‘hood. Why empower the little wanna be punks out there but giving them any kind of attention at all. I used to live in Fairview and loved it. When I lived there there was a special clubhouse on Dutch Village Road. Fairview seemed a lot ‘quieter’ then probably because none of the low level punks wanted to step on the big guys’ toes or turf… as soon as that club shut down the place became a shit show.

kitty – if the wankers in the highway dept did a proper job and put lights at the bottom of the otter mill lake road I would be able to take the highway and never drive through Lakeside again. Inheritting a house in Lakeside is almost as bad as living in Sydney/Whitney Pier/Glace Bay.
