To the 4 punks (3 guys, 1 girl) coming out of a residence on South Street, across from the soccer field yesterday carrying bags of your crap with you. Wow, you 4 must feel pretty good about yourselves.
An older man, with a clear mental health issue stopped to ask you how exams were going, and what did you 4 brilliant assholes do in return? You mocked him, and made fun of his limp!! WHAT THE FUCK? How dare you? Who are you anyway? Just 4 entitled, spoiled, jack asses, who think that they run the show because mommy & daddy let them out of the house to get an education. You’re really putting that education to use aren’t you?
I can’t wait until you 4 enter the real working world and see that your ignorant self entitled attitudes will get you nowhere in life. And when you go crawling back to mommy and daddy because you can’t find jobs, and you don’t understand why? It’s because you all need a serious attitude adjustment and Karma is a total bitch. Now fuck off somewhere out of this city, and go back to wherever stuck up place you belong… —I’m Over Insensitive, Entitled Brats

Karma does have a way of running you over in the future, OB, if it is any consolation. One of my former classmates was particularly cruel to a developmentally disabled boy in elementary school. You should see her now, cheering for her son in the Special Olympics.
I really hate that people like those 4 exist.
Karma is laying face down dead in a dirty New York alley with a beer bottle waving out of her ass. Some people will never get a karmic headkick, ‘k?
That said, the actions of these kids is cruel as it is appalling. Unless you’re a witness and protest this behaviour, this shit will continue to happen.
This is shaping up to be a great week for misanthropy:

what can i say? they were pieces of shit, that about covers it.
truly sad…
It is really hard to understand the thought processes involved here. I cannot begin to fathom it. To be that shallow, cruel and uncaring. If karma really existed, it would have been that Denny character that asked them how the exams went.

Because people who do thoughtless
Things when they’re young get crippled sons as punishment.
Right?
My mom just called.
She appears to take serious fucking issue with a sentiment like that.
I know you hate the bitch from your past, but please don’t demean and dehumanize a kid to try and make a point about Magical Thinking Bullshit like “karma”.
Otherwise you start to seriously believe you did something to deserve being run over hy an 18-wheeler and spending 2 years of your life in hospital.
Wheelie Fucking P
And your former classmate is probably very proud of her son, loves the hell out of him, and doesn’t consider herself as being BURDENED by his life.
The disabled tend to not like being considered as BURDENS to their families.
WP
I’m sorry, Wheelie. I realize now what a thoughtless comment that was. You and your family did not in any way deserve what happened to you.
We’re cool, Xeno. I just wanted to prove my point, sorry if I was too assholey about it.
I lived in Portugeuse Village/Little Italy in Toronto inmediately after I got out of the hospital. With my new disfigured body, wheelchair, and leg gone I was treated like a monster by these Old World Catholic fucks. Old women would look at my mid section with troubled looks and cross themselves, tsk-tsk-tsking. If I said “Hi, that makes me feel bad” I was told to fuck off in Portugeuse or “donspeakenglash”.
I was a fetish for their cultural ideas of suffering, Jesus, and whatever other baggage they carried.
Do I wish I was never injured? Sure. Reality is we don’t get do overs, and without making this some saccerine inspiration story, I believe I’ve done well with my “new reality”, and I have become a better man in some ways than I would have been otherwise.
I’m belabouring the crap out of my point. Sorry.
We’re cool!
🙂

Oh please The Coast, publish this one in hard copy. Because you just KNOW douchepickles like that read the coast…
Yeah… wheels is right.. i always hear shit like this “I’m scared of having a crippled kid because i made fun of one once” or the worst “My kid is crippled as payback for me making fun of all the spastics at school” etc…
Ain’t nothing wrong with being crippled, yo. And those kids with Down’s Syndrome are the best people on earth man. The BEST people.
Nice, Crayons.
I find the worst off folks have the messed up insides. Being an introspective sort, I worked out my issues years ago, so that when I was dating it was women with daddy/body/whatevs issues that scared me away.
Down’s syndrome people are sweet.
Wp
“Down’s syndrome people are sweet.”
Are they? I didn’t know having down’s syndrome automatically made you sweet. Good to know that you define people based on their disabilities rather than their personalities.
If you were anything but a (self-professed) troll, I might take the time to give you a more serious answer.
Otherwise, I stand by my statement to the honourable member.
