LOWER WATER STREET is 2 lanes. Should I repeat myself? Apparently not on commuter received the memo 2 years ago when the made the street one way. Everyday in traffic there is a long SINGLE line of cars waiting to leave the downtown on lower water. I have tried to move into the left lane to proceed and I am always met with beeps and stares as if i’m cheating. It’s 2 lanes people. Right lane be right. Left lane is awaiting half of the cars moving north. We will all get home a little sooner and a little less stressed. —Lois left lane

Lois, in theory Lower Water is two-lane heading north but in reality with vehicles parked on the left side and a bicycle lane on the right there is not much maneuverability for two vehicles to travel the same route side-by-side. If this stresses you out then perhaps you should find an alternate route home.
Get a horse.
Sorry OB, Lower Water is one lane between Terminal Road and Sackville St.: https://www.halifax.ca/traffic/documents/S…
It’s one lane.
Stop trying to creep alongside everyone else and then act all upset when no one lets you shove your way back in at the front of the line. What makes you more “special” than anyone else on the road? Sheesh!
OB, you dumb as fuck!!!
Steve: That’s not very nice. :p
He doesn’t like OB’s headscarf.
Yeah, that whole 2 lane thing on LWS was a fail, for sure.
That link shows lower water street is one lane and then changes to two after sackville street.
Lower Water street is 2 lanes!
One lane that’s half taken up by parked cars and the other is always available.
If there are no parked cars, it means it’s usable.
