I think the equestrian events are the most graceful of the whole olympics. Those huge beasts ridden by tiny characters in funny hats makes me wish I knew how to ride a horse. This in contrast to the marathon runners, who make me wish I didn’t have to do something so long and tiring as running through a hundred kilometres of downtown Beijing pea soup. Ghhuhh…wha? Oh! it was all a dream. I can’t climb a flight of stairs without getting out of breath. No olympic marathons for me again this year.

Also: Why do the words “poncey entitlement” pop into my head when looking at the equestrian event winners? This is an interesting sport, though, because there aren’t mens’ and women’s events. I wonder why that is?

  1. You be careful, Mr. Ozano. Saying things like:”Also: Why do the words “poncey entitlement” pop into my head when looking at the equestrian event winners?”may earn you a copy editor with a vengeance! And maybe you should do a little bit of research before you insinuatingly wonder why there arent’s mens’ and women’s events.
