Castro’s finest are duking out a silicone-shaking (fortunately, only sand) cold-war grudge match in the Beijing Volley-dome. American women vs Cuban. Who will win? Who will lose? Will Cuba be forced to capitulate and accept capitalism? Or will America honour the bet George W. and Castro made to take on communist social and political structures if the American women lose? Surely, this is the most important olympic event of the season! They are playing “Walk of Life” by Dire Straits, so we can pretend this is just a fun summer romp, but really, it’s the final showdown between capitalism and communism!Or it would be, if any of this were at all true. As it stands, it’s just another volleyball match. So sweaty.
