Owners, Made With Local, madewithlocal.ca

It didn’t take long for co-workers/gym buddies Sheena Clark and Kathy Cooper-MacDonald to take their friendship to the next level and become badass business parters, snowballing their “wouldn’t it be cool if” idea into Made with Local. They’ve gone from making granola bars for farmers’ markets in lobster pots in the Banook Canoe Club’s kitchen to delivering 800 bars a week, made by hand in the valley with the help of the Flower Cart. And, in a true testament to what they do, Clark and Cooper-MacDonald still personally deliver everything. “All the different farmers and food producers we work with, they’re real people. They’re family run farms and operations with incredible stories,” says Clark. “I love that I call different producers and we shoot the shit, we’ve forged friendships.”
