We know you’re going. Nic, Nat, Tiff and Chrys are bringing their
baby doll faces to Dartmouth for Summer Rush this Saturday, and you
just can’t miss them. So instead of inundating Alderney Landing and
leaving it lonely afterwards, why don’t you skip that first ferry back
and have a drink at one of the fine bars in the area? While there are
plenty to choose from, here’s a list of four that are within arm’s
reach. Be careful, though—the last ferry leaves at 11:30pm. You might
just have to gather your friends and take a cab home.

Celtic Corner
69 Alderney Drive
If it’s not pouring Saturday, don’t waste any time heading to Celtic
Corner’s rooftop patio (in photo above). It boasts the best views of
Halifax, Guinness on tap and delicious pub food to feed the
concert-goer in you.
Nectar Social House
62 Ochterloney Street
Best Restaurant winner for Dartmouth in The Coast’s Best of Food
issue, this classy option is just a newbie in the restaurant world.
Wish it a happy second year by whetting your hoarse whistle on its
protected back deck.
Ducky’s on the Waterfront
Alderney Landing
This restaurant is almost in your way when looking to get to
Halifax, so show it some love and watch the late-night rain out over
the harbour.
Whiskey’s Lounge
27 Portland Street
Have a seat in the lounge instead, and think about the dangerous
show you just watched.
