If you’ve ever wanted to own a bar, now’s your chance: The Brewery by Quinns is on the market. The Quinpool Road brewpub—right across from Preston Street—is listed for $400,000, boasting a “turn key operation” with a “huge kitchen,” a 750-hectolitre brewery and an “amazing outdoor patio.”
The Brewery opened in 2022, a year after its sister pub, Quinn’s Arms, opened just a few doors down in the old Phil’s Seafood. At the time, owner Paul “Tommy” Thomas—who also holds a stake in The Brown Hound Public House—told The Coast that he was high on Quinpool Road’s future, citing the “rapid” change the west end street was undergoing.
“With what’s going on with the construction and the new condos and apartments going in, we’re really looking to try and hope that this will be a good spot,” Thomas said.
The Brewery is the bar—its beer is made in-house by the brewing operation currently known as Revelry Beer Co., which just brought home a pair of Canadian Brewing Awards earlier this year. It isn’t clear what would become of Revelry after a completed sale, though The Coast has heard murmurings that its brewer, Adam Campbell, could be linked to Lake City Cider’s new beer venture. (Lake City Cider hasn’t commented on Campbell’s potential involvement.)
Any new owner of the Quinpool Road brewpub would need to take on a commercial lease. The building is owned by Newal Property Investments Ltd.
The Coast reached out to The Brewery’s ownership for comment, but could not arrange an interview before publication.
