This year’s Multicultural Festival is making a move to the Halifax Seaport (by Pier 21), and is helping everyone adjust to the change by providing a free shuttle bus. Hop on the shuttle at Upper Water and Duke streets, Barrington and Duke or Barrington and Spring Garden if you want to hitch a ride, or look for Metro Transit’s FRED, which will run July 3 and 4 from 10:30am to 5pm with a stop at Pier 21. Don’t expect any of the delicious food or entertainment to change, though—the Festival will continue to fill the weekend with music and dance from more than 30 different cultures (including performers Lennie Gallant, MAM and Alekpol), a children’s pavilion, cultural displays and food and craft vendors. For those afraid to miss World Cup games, you can catch them on the Festival’s big screen all day Saturday. Bring your vuvuzela! –Holly Gordon
