The Cake Lady, Seaport Farmers’ Market, 1209 Marginal Road

In the Spring, Ingrid Dunsworth—The Cake Lady—met Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall. “We had a good conversation and he said he really enjoyed and appreciated how I decorated and how fresh all my cakes looked.” She sent a package to London, and was invited to Highgrove Estate. “It was a highlight of my life,” she says. And her cakes are the highlight of many a person’s week here in Halifax. “I just like to create good, yummy food. You can make people really happy,” she says. “I like the interaction with the customers, too. I like to give and to make things beautiful.”
