What could be more pleasurable on a cold winter night than seeing some of Halifax’s finest actors reading plays by some of Nova Scotia’s most talented playwrights? If you can’t think of an answer, you might want to take in the Cold Readings Series at Plutonium Playhouse. Last week’s offering was a reading of His Greatness, a “potentially true story” of Tennessee Williams’ visit to Vancouver for the opening of a play that was later savaged by critics.
