The cover of our Halloween issue, by local artist Geordan Moore, is sure to thrill all you nerds pop culture fanatics. Inspired by this weekend’s inaugural Hal-Con, ummm, convention, Geordan created an assembly of costumed characters where the Halifamous mingle with superstars like Darth Vader and that guy from the YouTubes. But more than an awesome piece of art, it’s also your ticket to a free meal if you can identify the references.
To enter the contest, email your list of names and/or references to coverstory@thecoast.ca by noon on Monday, November 1. Whoever correctly identifies the most characters wins a $50 Brooklyn Warehouse gift certificate and a rare press proof of the original cover.
In case of more than one person submitting a winning entry, a random draw will determine the prize winner. Coast employees are not eligible for the prize. (Sorry, Matt.)
Procrastinate later. You’ve only got until noon on Monday, the day after Halloween, to send your list of as many characters as you can name to coverstory@thecoast.ca.
