Let’s go for a walk down memory lane together, shall we? While you’re sitting at home making your 2015 New Year’s Resolutions to not procrastinate as much, why not waste some time thinking about the best times you sloshed beer on your going out shoes while swaying at a show?

“As enjoyable as experiencing St. Vincent under the moon was, a most vivid live music memory is Rollie and the Navy Brats at Jacob’s Lounge in Dartmouth. After such a ferocious sweat-drenched set, to request an encore would have been cruel.” —Doug Taylor
“My favourite musical moment of 2014 was watching Kaleb Simmonds and DTC improvise with each other live on The Potato Salad Radio Show. They had never met until that night. They each kept musically upping the ante; grinning through the glass at each other as they egged one another on. They must have played for almost 10 minutes collaborating with such synergy that I ran out of ‘damns’ to say. It was an honour to be there.” —David Dahms

Best – The show at the Company House with Banda Magda, wonderful energy and musicianship. The worst? Frank D’Angelo at the Schooner Room, sings flat and makes sexist jokes and innuendo, with a huge ego. Couldn’t listen to him slaughter any more great songs, so I walked out.
Best – Christine Campbell was fantastic at the Lunenburg Folk Festival.
