January always means a lull in live music. But not in announcements. Maybe some of these shows will float your boat. Loverboy offer high-pitched sustained notes (February 8-9, Schooner Showroom). Ozzy added a second show (January 28 at the Metro Centre). Black Mountain forces you to show up stoned out of your tree (February 27, the Marquee). Sum 41 has recovered from any and all back injuries to play with Die Mannequin and Social Code (March 8, Cunard Centre, tickets at the Dalhousie Arts Centre, 494-3820 and dal.ca/artscentre. 8pm, $29.50).
