Trick ‘r Treat lingered in limbo for two years before finally
being released on DVD this October. The long wait helped build
anticipation amongst horror fans, though many may be disappointed now
that they finally have a chance to see the film. Trick ‘r Treat isn’t
that gory and even less scary, but it’s fun and the anthology structure
keeps things moving even when the story twists are obvious. The movie
is a love letter to Halloween, and how much you like the film will
depend on how much you like the holiday it’s based on.

  1. Hollywood just loves liquidy sound effects. And the whoosh sound. What would they do without the whoosh sound?
