Here’s the first poster for Afghan Luke, whose working title was Afghan Luke and the Burgundy of Hash, the new dramedy from Mike Clattenburg, creator of Trailer Park Boys, now staking his claim as a feature filmmaker beyond Sunnyvale. We’re keeping our fingers crossed the movie will appear at September’s Atlantic Film Festival.

The three TPB leads’ new show, shot-in-Halifax The Drunk and On Drugs Happy Funtime Hour starts airing tonight. Unfortunately, it hasn’t found a place at The Boys’ traditional home Showcase, but out in the +100 cable channel hinterlands at Action, unavailable unless you have one of those multi-channel super-packages. Aside from Mike Smith, John Paul Tremblay and Robb Wells, the show also guest-stars John Dunsworth, Pat Roach, Maury Chaykin, Jay Baruchel and Amy Sedaris.

  1. Why must we continue to refer to them as “The Trailer Park Boys”? That title belongs to the show, not the actors. It would be like referring to the cast of The Fantastic Four as “The Fantastic Four” for the rest of eternity……….
