Jenocide rocks Michael’s.

As visions of rocking dance parties danced through the heads of Adept Tattoos duo Amber Thorpe and Jenn Hoben, they decided why not capitalize on the north end’s hottest new live venue in town and give Halifax’s queer community (and allies) a night to remember. “Halifax is a great city with a large gay community but lacks the newer younger mixed vibe,” says Thorpe, who recruited Jenocide, DJ Tanner and Jules Bangsworth to direct dance traffic. It won’t just be the “raddest queer dance party in town” but they’ll be games for all you players, too. “The three-legged races came from the things we missed as kids,” says Thorpe.”Next is wheelbarrow races!” Homo for the Holidays is also a fundraiser for Halifax’s Youth Project, so it’s not just a night of good times, but also a good cause.

Fri Dec 9, Michael’s Bar & Grill, 6100 Young Street, 9:30pm-2am
