Learn and Burn is the latest release from Saskatoon four-piece The Sheepdogs, and it is a slice of pure nostalgia that harkens back to ’60s and ’70s-era AM rock radio. Some bands try to achieve the same retro aesthetic and it feels forced and pretentious, but from the moment the play button has been pressed, The Sheepdogs sound nothing less than genuine. The lead single “The One You Belong To” will garner comparisons to The Guess Who from the crunchy guitar riffs to the harmonic vocals. Learn and Burn is an album that has been crafted to be the soundtrack for summer.

LOL take it from a 55 year old Canadian. This band is very clever in capturing every guitar riff, cheesy keyboard and weak lyric and vocal of all those high school bands in all those North American towns in the late 60s and early 70s. The movie Almost Famous and The Onion‘s Tee Shirt “Your favorite band sucks” comes to mind.
It was fun for the first 20 minutes but back to my classic rock iPod originals.
Thanks anyways and good luck guys cover ot the Rolling Stone ..lol
