Don’t let a Monday night stop you: Vancouver’s The Pack A.D.
will kick your Monday—and every other night—in the ass. For a
two-piece band, they put on an intense performance, playing
blues-fuelled garage rock.

Their album Funeral Mixtape was released a year ago, but the
duo’s still been touring since March, managed to record a new record
(slated for release in February) and tore up CBC’s Radio 3 studios
during a painful—and fake—interview with Grant Lawrence in the new
video for “Blackout.”

They’ve played everywhere from Whitehorse to “a little town in
Illinois in the middle of a cornfield…we didn’t think there was a
town and then it appeared, this little town with one bar,” singer and
guitarist Becky Black says. She passes the phone to drummer Maya Miller
long enough for Miller to wax poetic about the gold rush era: They are,
of course, on the road.
