The Museum Pieces

Jeff Tweedy once said he started writing about the little things because in them he found the big things. On his first album as a member of The Museum Pieces, Tyler Messick has also made this important step. Using smaller pieces, both instrumentally and lyrically, he has paint- ed a bigger picture. It’s best illustrated in “I Know You Too Well,” made up of fragments anchored by a grinding bassline. It’s like nothing the band has done in the past and tears limits off what they might do in the future.
