This Moncton quartet keeps foot on the gas throughout its second album, a major label debut. Veteran producer Steve Rizun tied up any loose ends to the point of being almost too polished for some. Don Levandier, formerly of Ditchpigs, embraces this expanded audience with a powerful set of songs. “We might die young but we won’t get hur…tonight!” from “Every Man Needs a Cape Breton,” is the sort of chorus you easily envision a sweaty throng bellowing for all it’s worth. “This is the sound of your cities falling,” from “Failsafes,” could easily be an anthem for Adbusters. Rage and talent combine to spell a potential breakout.
