There have been steady rumblings surrounding The Game and his debut, Documentary. Being the latest artist to sign to G-Unit doesn’t hurt, especially since it marks a homecoming for Dr. Dre, who will forever be known as being an original west side gangsta. After a few spins, it’s impossible to deny The Game’s talent: his flow is unreal, the production solid and the lyrical content similar to 2Pac’s. But Documentary feels hollow, like it’s all been done before.
