Yo ho ho, it’s The Burning Hell.

St. John’s’ The Burning Hell is dancing its way to the mainland then rockin’ it to Europe to promote the band’s latest release, Flux Capacitor. While writing and recording this time around the group found themselves contemplating death and time travel a little more than usual. Sticking to what they know, the themes and lyrical content on the newest effort swims in a sea of growing older, the late 1980s, big bushy beards and pet euthanasia. Currently the band is touring eastern Canada to promote the record and the name. After Canada the group will fly across the Atlantic and spend two months riffin’ around Europe before coming back to our home and native land to finish their touring schedule in western Canada. Catch their energetic folk inspired dance party at Gus’ Pub this Saturday night.

Sat May 7, Gus’ Pub, 2605 Gottingen St, 10pm, $2
