Books—everyone’s friends—are having a banner week. Beginning this Thursday, May 12 and continuing all week, things are getting very literary in the Maritimes. The Atlantic Book Awards are on like Genghis Khan wearing Sean Jean in Bhutan and features more free readings than you can shake a stick at, happening at libraries, bookstores and community centres all around HRM. The festival culminates with the 2011 Atlantic Book Awards Celebration at Alderney Landing Theatre on Thursday, May 19.
