Taddle Creek magazine is hitting the road, and Halifax is its first stop. An arts magazine normally focused on Toronto, Taddle Creek just published its first Out-of-Towner issue and is marking the occasion with its first tour. “We run one Out-of-Towner piece in each issue by or about someone outside of Toronto,” says Conan Tobias from Taddle Creek. “The Out-of-Towner issue is dedicated to that section and contains work by writers based outside of Toronto.” This issue features work from Peter Norman, a Vancouver native now living in Halifax, who will be reading at the event. Local writers Kim Dawn, Ryan Turner (above) and Zach Wells will also be reading, making for a pretty fantastic evening of words. Taddle Creek‘s tour is continuing on to Fredericton and Saint John post-Halifax, then the west coast of both the States and Canada. Monday is Taddle Creek‘s arrival into the Halifax literary scene, so give them and our writers a warm welcome at The Company House.
