Who’s up for a flashmob?
suddenlyLISTEN is presenting Transitory, a “flashmob style performance” happening this Saturday at the Stanfield International Airport. There will be two flashmobs, one happening at 3pm and the other at 3:40pm.
suddenlyLISTEN produces improvised chamber music. This is their 10th anniversary season and this is their way of celebrating. If you’ve never heard live chamber music before, that might be reason enough to head over to the Stanfield International Airport this weekend. (A better reason might be to see the reactions of the people getting off the plane.)
The music will be composed by local composer Sandy Moore. The flashmob itself will be performed by Dalhousie students, the Halifax Boys Honour Choir, and other improvisers. Vianney Aubrecht, a Halifax beatboxer, will be coordinating a vocal component with the Boys Choir, turning this mob into an all out dance party.
