The lyric is “I’m a broken man on a Halifax Pier”, though I imagine your revised version is what they sing at The Lower Deck.
ah ha. it appears that i don’t even know that one song i thought i knew. i think it was a holdover from when i lived near SMU and was serenaded every weekend at around 3am.
