Robert Plant and the Strange Sensations
Mighty Rearranger
(Sanctuary)
Robert Plant will long be remembered as the charismatic front man of the legendary rock outfit Led Zepplin, but in that mighty shadow Robert Plant, the solo artist, resides. Mighty Rearranger (his second outing with The Strange Sensation, comprised of members of Portishead and Massive Attack) Plant has taken the eastern influences of the Zepplin era and successfully bridged the gap between classic rock and modern-rock and electronica. While “All The King’s Horses” is one of his most beautiful ballads to date, “Shine It All Around” showcases a re-energized Plant at the top of his game. Mighty Rearranger is the album that should propel Plant out of his own looming shadow once and for all.
