I can’t think of a more ridiculous band than the Red Hot Chili Peppers. Their bass player is a jazz phenom, their drummer is tight, their guitarist shreds, and their singer was in Point Break. Sounds good, right? Problem is these guys have made super annoying funk-rock for the past three decades. Californication was the last album that was actually kind of good, mostly because John Frusciante became a total dick and only wanted to make songs inspired by The Cure. Then Frusciante left and his understudy (yes, this band has guitar understudies, apparently) stepped in. Josh Klinghoffer is a good replacement, but for a band that hasn’t released an album in five years, this record is pretty boring and doesn’t really add anything new to their discography.

That’s a fantastic essay on why you hate the band. Perhaps a link to pitchfork would have been useful to those actually looking for an album review.
This review is another reason of why I fucking hate the Coast and most of the d-bag writers.
This guy is clearly an Adele fan… the Chilis have been evolving their style (in a good way I might add) for the past 30 years and NOBODY could every do what they do… In my opinion, they’re one of the most underrated bands out there, just like Wolfmother, Incubus and Our Lady Peace… It’s a shame that some people will totally burn somebody or some group to get leverage on fame… And where do you get you’re info… John has been doing his own thing since the early 90s and he brought that passion to the Chilis; which brought you Californication, By the Way and Stadium Arcadium… so instead of saying sh*t about the Peppers and go dislike some other band that’s worth disliking… Like U2 or the very depressing Pink Floyd…
If you don’t like funk rock, review another fucking band.. how can you even call this a review, it’s like half a paragraph. At least give a link to something that’s not so utterly useless.
