Neptune Theatre announces 2011/2012 season

Frankenstein, The Jungle Book and more

Frankenstein may not be exactly as shown.

Neptune Theatre has released a playbill for its 2011/2012 season. The 49th year of production kicks off in Fountain Hall this September with Mary Shelley's Frankenstein. Next up will be Lost – A Memoir followed by a musical version of The Jungle Book over the holidays.

Opening late January is Mrs. Parliament's Night Out, the story of a woman who finds herself after her husband forgets their 32nd anniversary. Intimate Apparel follows, and the season closes out in the spring with the saucy musical comedy, La Cage aux Folles, the inspiration for the movie The Bird Cage.

Plays on the bill for the Studio Stage open in October with the one-act drama, Another Home Invasion. February will feature Communion and the Studio season finishes up with a comedy coming out of Newfoundland and Labrador, Tempting Providence, hitting the stage late April.

If you plan on seeing a few different plays on the schedule, you may be able to save some money through a subscription package. To see a list of the different packages available and for general ticket prices, check out www.neptunetheatre.com or call the Neptune Box Office at 429-7070.
