He just couldn’t stay away. Halifax plays host again to the best guest appearance on Last Waltz (at least the one with the most coke on his face), Mr. Neil Young. After completing shows in Australia and New Zealand earlier this year, music icon Neil Young comes home to Canada to bring a tear to your eye. The tour starts April 6 in Newfoundland, with a very manageable ten dates in all. Thank god Halifax is on the list for April 10 at the Metro Centre with Everest. Tickets go on sale February 28. I loves me Neil’s noise machine. Saw him in Sacramento a couple of lifetimes ago, playing with Sonic Youth. Half the audience was in their 20s, half was old hippies. They hated each other. The hippies booed Sonic Youth, and the Sonic Youth fans laughed their asses off at the old shit (but Neil didn’t play much of it, being more into noise.)
