Press releases are like pizzas. They’re cheesy. Or maybe they’re like lasagne, and Garfield likes them. Whichever it may be, no saying I just made up could prepare me for this totally ridiculous sentence from a press release announcing Diana Krall‘s upcoming Halifax appearance. Behold: “Even those already familiar with the breathy vocals and rhythmic lilt in Krall’s music—-and there are millions—-will be taken aback by just how far the music pushes, unabashedly, into the realm of sweet surrender.” Get ready for a little sweet surrender on May 10, when Krall blows the roof off the Halifax Metro Centre. Krall will be touring to promote her new album, Quiet Nights.
