Jon is a young man getting ready to move to Peru with his girlfriend. Koko is a slacker with a broken moral compass. When they meet, it changes the trajectories of both their lives: Jon starts to wonder if he’s making the right choice while Koko decides to become a better, more charitable person. While it’s obvious how things will end, the journey there is still beautiful. Jen Wang’s art combines the strengths of animation and comics, with elastic character designs that still feel like real people. The only thing that could improve it is more colour: almost every page is painted with sepia tones that dull the expressive art.
