The Atlantic Filmmakers’ Co-operative has announced the slate of films for its 12th installment of the Halifax Independent Filmmakers Festival, this year running from June 6 to 9 in Neptune’s Scotiabank Theatre.
Two features from Cape Breton filmmakers are on the lineup: Jacquelyn Mills‘ doc about her grandmother, In the Waves, screens June 7. Winston DeGiobbi‘s Mass For Shut-Ins (June 9) is a microbudget indie about a man’s introverted day to day life.
Two slates of Atlantic programs screen June 6 and 9, featuring new shorts by Ashley McKenzie, Bretten Hannam, Seth Smith, Nicole Steeves & Struan Sutherland and James MacSwain, among many others.
