Gear up to get beer’d up: this Friday, March 11, tickets go on sale for Garrison Brewing’s second annual Backlot Bash, featuring musical performances from Toronto blues rockers July Talk, Halifax rappers Three Sheet, ECMA winners Alert the Medic and local upstarts The Brood at the all-night, open-air parking lot party festival in support of the Ecology Action Centre.
“We’re super excited to make this the one time of the year where we throw open the doors and show off the new brewery” said Brian Titus, Garrison Brewing President, in a press release. “We love that we get to call the Seaport home and we want to celebrate it.” Along with jams, there will be Garrison beer, local craft ciders, Dockyard Soda and “four of the best food-trucks going.”
Proceeds from the music fest will go towards the Ecology Action Centre. Last year, the Backlot Bash raised nearly $5,000 for EAC’s transportation programs. That rules. Gates will open at 5pm on June 11, “rain or shine,” and early-bird tickets start at $25, which you’ll be able to buy online.
