Ruby Jean and the Thoughtful Bees are opening for Thunderheist this weekend, and I’ll bet you’ll feel the wanderlust coming off of them in waves from the stage. As of May 15 the group embarks on a whirlwind UK tour. “We got invited to play a festival in Brighton called The Great Escape after our CMW showcase. NME and the booker from Glastonbury were also there, and they loved us and immediately asked us to come play the festival—-which I was already planning on playing solo,” says Rebekah Higgs (AKA Ruby Jean) “I really can’t wait to go, half of my family lives in London so this will give me a chance to see them, and for them to see me play. Sean (MacGillivray) is off touring with Classified so Mike Belyea is filling in on drums and doing a superb job.” Give them your good luck travel charms at the Paragon Theatre May 2.
