Good vibes are usually contagious, which is why old friends Ermine are inviting you all to take part in a reunion, of sorts. With members Mike and Matt Belyea and Chuck Teed living in various cities, making various types of music and living there separately fruitful lives a hiatus kind of made sense. But luckily for us, the three of them missed each other. “To be honest, the motivation for playing again was mostly the potential for a major bro-down, at least on my part,” says Mike, who says scheduling shows is the perfect excuse to hang out. “Everyone in the band is either family, or honourary family. Very Beach Boys-y, without all the success and surfing.” They’ll be playing a handful of Maritime shows tugging at your nostalgic side with some classics. That’s not to say new things aren’t possible though, Belyea says they’ve still got unrecorded songs. If schedules align perhaps they’ll be dealt with during the next bro-down.
