Lookin' good, Hot Blood Bombers

Regina’s Hot Blood Bombers haven’t been out east in their band career. They heard we are nice. We have heard they are “three guys sweating and playing rock and roll garage soul.” It could be a match made in heaven. Touring is an inspirational force for the band and I’d personally love to see an east coast concept album come out of this jaunt. “We recorded a new album when we came back from a May tour with Endangered Ape,” says Dave David (guitar and vocals). “We’re gonna call it Broke, Travelling, Hungry, Love and release it early next year with another Canadian tour, if everything goes to plan.” David, Herb “Daddy Long Legs” Exner (drums) and Shane Grass (bass, vocals) have simple needs as a group. “Our tour survival kit is as follows: canned pastas and beef stews, cheap booze of any kind, Putter’s cigarettes, two spare tires, a lot of cds, two blankets, one pillow,” says David. “We have love too.” Show them a little when they play at on Friday September 25 at Gus’ Pub with Meisha and the Spanks (Calgary), Madcowboys (Calgary), Cuban Assassins, Myles Deck and the Fuzz (10pm, $5).
