I see Dead Plays.

Do you like watching deleted scenes? Do you like sneak peeks? Does the idea of raising a zombie army excite you? If so, we’ve got the thing for you—sort of.

In its third installment of Dead Plays, Forerunner Playwrights Theatre is opening the theatre graveyard to let discarded scenes from local plays live for one more night.
The show will include works from playwrights such as Jackie Torrens, Jeremy Webb, David Overton, Natasha MacLellan and beloved companies Shakespeare by the Sea and Zuppa Theatre.

“We think they’re super fun,” says Forerunner Playwrights Theatre member, Lisa Rose Snow. “I know with all my work, sometimes it just breaks your heart a little to have to say goodbye to a scene, even a paragraph or a monologue that you really love but just doesn’t work. So it’s a nice opportunity to let your baby live a little.”

The show is hosted by Natasha MacLellan and Nate Crawford, and includes a wide range of scenes—from comedic cowboys to a romantic musical. Dead Plays will also include some sneak peeks of upcoming performances, like Jeremy Webb’s play, Fishing, set to open in May. All proceeds will go towards Forerunner’s next production, That’s Happiness’, by Nate Crawford.
