
For the past couple of months since the departure of former Art Gallery of Nova Scotia director and chief curator Jeffrey Spalding, the AGNS’s curator of contemporary art, Ray Cronin, has been the acting big cheese. Now, the position is permanent; Cronin will officially take over as the provincial art museum’s director and CEO for a five-year term. They must have seen his coaching skills during the artists’ hockey game at the opening of Arena: The Art of Hockey on May 9.
