CLUB STOIC and JonBob celebrate in style

Crusty old Gus’ (and we say crusty in the most endearing way possible) is getting all gussied up on Wednesday. It’s a one night only makeover that’ll bring black lights, lasers, fog machines, plush squids and more visually stimulating decor into the pub to set the mood for LaserSquid Music’s double release show. Even better? “We’ll be bringing in an entirely new sound system for the best possible sonic experience,” says Jonathan Bobyrk (AKA JonBob, who’ll be releasing Remixes & Bootlegs Volume 1, a compilation of his best work from the past few years). The second release comes from CLUB STOIC (AKA Nick Iwaskow of GIGAS) which Bobryk says is a dubstep influenced record brimming over with “nostalgic samples and rich layers.” You’ll get a copy of Field’s of Joy, Iwaskows’ first solo EP, just for walking in the door and paying your cover. For these guys it’s all about attention to detail, and they’ve got ’em covered.
