This collection of eight songs includes: one chant-along chorus hook; one pop hit (relatively speaking); one 10-minute, improvised drone/trance; one half-second killer guitar solo and one half-hour of the tornado of negativity Be Bad has become in its short existence. A striking, slightly unsettling visual effort thanks to Nicholas MacMillan’s cosmic artwork, Vision Correction raises the bar for Halifax when it comes to conceptual realization. Nothing about this album is wrong. It sounds like a million bucks, the playing is inspired and songs feed off of one another in a way that could only be achieved by a band with such passionate love, and hate, of music.
