While Coaster may not rival the seminal White Trash, Two
Heebs and a Bean, it does manage to offer virtually all of the
great idiosyncrasies that have made NOFX famous over the years.
Disrespect for disrespect’s sake? Check. Glorification of the underdog?
Check. Clunky, sometimes surprisingly complicated arrangements,
anthemic choruses and fun horn-driven songs? It’s all here, and
arguably as good as it always has been. The question is, after 12
albums, does the world need any more? As much as Coaster is a
good listen, it is hard to choose it over White Trash or Punk
