Though they won’t be getting one of those golden statuettes nor did they attend the Vanity Fair party in Hollywood last night, local sound experts Brian Power and Graham Colwell were part of the Inception sound team that won Best Sound Mixing and Best Sound Editing at the 83rd Academy Awards.
Ellen Page, who played Ariadne in Christopher Nolan’s 2010 summer blockbuster and mindbender, recorded her ADR (Automated Dialogue Replacement) here in Halifax with Power and Colwell. Power reports they are “certainly quite pleased to be part of the winning team.”
