To the lady at a certain thrift shop in Bayers Lake who told me I have a lovely Hollywood scarlet face and shouldn’t be shopping in the second-hand store, I was thrown aback and didn’t have the chance to tell you that I would count myself lucky if I look as good as you when I am in my forties! You have a beautiful smile. Thanks for the compliment, it made my day! —Hollywood

You sure she didn’t say “starlet”, OB? Unless, of course, your face was very red from sunburn. In which case I recommend sunscreen next time.
On another note, I find it rude of the salesperson to say you “shouldn’t be shopping in a second-hand store”… Apparently you have to be ugly to shop second hand?
^^^ stupid comment. Clearly the OB felt flattered and the compliment seems sincere. Not sure what that comment gets out of trying to deflate what was a positive interaction between two people.
