Halifax has too much municipal dogma. That’s because people are too lazy to say Halifax Regional Municipality. How can this Halifax govern when it was formed by force and not by the people, and has to be an urban and rural place? One hundred and forty-some farms, where are they in Halifax? My 1st thought after viewing the new city logo – this is what we get for no longer teaching cursive writing in schools.
I’ve designed many logos over my career and that is one of the worst I’ve ever seen. Major Fail with a bucket of spit.
if it says ‘halifax’ in the name it should get ‘halifax’ police. not have to figure out who gets hpd and who gets rcmp. just my personal pet peeve.

I believe we the public should be able to choose a new name for the hrm….. My vote is definitely for Halisux.
Supposedly the logo looked a whole lot better before they airbrushed the swastika out.
One logo I designed in the early 1990s is still used in broadcasting. If I said anymore, I’d be pulling off my Fonebone mask. If you knew where I had worked, Basil, you’d laugh until your colon was hanging out of your ass like a flaccid ten foot sausage.
Why is this an issue? Are you alive? Can you breathe? Do you eat?
I’m so lazy I simply refer to HRM/Halifax as ‘Ha…’
